Full buckle Carriers for hire
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR HIRE
HIRE PROCESS:
1) Please indicate which sling or carrier you would like to hire by filling in this Sling Hire Request Form above.
All carriers are lent subject to availability, condition and suitability.
2) Once I have received the Request Form, I will send an invoice, payable by Paypal, for 75% of the RRP of the carrier when bought new, plus outward postage costs.
The 75% payment acts as a deposit and will either be refunded or used as credit towards a new hire or the purchase of a new carrier.
The outward postage costs will not be refunded.
3) The carrier you have chosen will be reserved for you for 48 hours only pending payment of the invoice.
After this time, the carrier will no longer be reserved for you so please do contact me first to check that it is still available to hire should your payment be delayed.
4) Once payment is received, the carrier will be posted out to you the next working day (excludes Sundays). Your 14 day hire period begins the day following postage.
5) I will text or email you 2 days before the end of the initial hire period to remind you that it is due for return. At this point you may extend the hire period if you wish. See below for more details.
HIRE DURATION AND FEES:
1) I only have a small number of carriers available for hire so all hire periods are restricted to no longer than 6 weeks in total per customer.
2) When you hire a sling or carrier, the first two weeks/14 days of hire are free.
3) After the initial two week free hire period period is over, you may return the carrier and reclaim your deposit (according to T's and C's regarding condition of the carrier), or you may extend the hire period for another 2 weeks at a hire cost of £15 per 2 week period.
4) If you wish to extend your hire, you must notify me before the end of your initial free hire period, at which point I will invoice you for £15 for a further two week period.
You may do this again for a further 2 weeks bringing the total hire period to a maximum of 6 weeks.
5) Hire costs are non-refundable.
However, after your hire, you will be given a time-limited discount code for the value of your hire fees which you can redeem against a purchase of a Pouchlings carrier should you wish to buy at a later date.
RETURNS AND SHIPPING:
1) The customer is responsible for returning the hired carrier so that it arrives back to me on or within the 14 day hire period.
Hire fees are non-refundable even if the carrier is returned before the end of a paid-for hire period.
2) Return postage is the responsibility of the hirer. All postage costs are to be paid by the hirer.
3) Please ensure that the carrier and any accessories, manuals or labels are included
Once the parcel is packaged securely take it to the Post Office, get it scanned in, collect the tracking details and keep them safe until you have received the email from me stating that I have received your rental return.
CONDITION AND CARE
1) All carriers are checked before lending to ensure that they are in good condition and working order but since they will have been previously hired, please do not expect them to feel or look brand new.
Please ensure you are happy with the condition of the carrier before using it. Do let me know if you are not happy with the condition when you receive it so that I can rectify the situation as appropriate.
2) It is the borrower’s responsibility to check over the carrier before use. Check all buckles, hems and seams ensuring that there are no tears, breaks, cracks or holes. If any damage is discovered, please stop using the carrier immediately and contact me.
3) Please DO NOT wash your hire carrier unless absolutely necessary.
I understand that children may get the odd bit of food or posset on a sling and would ask that you spot clean these with water only before returning the sling. In the instance of heavy soiling, please contact me for advice.
4) If you have a young child who is at the teething and dribbling stage, please add a set of suck pads to the hire (applies to carriers with shoulder straps).
5) Under no circumstances is it permitted to smoke whilst wearing or holding the carrier.
6) Freshly laundered carriers:
I cannot guarantee that there are no marks on the carriers I lend. Carriers are spot-cleaned regularly and/or laundered as appropriate.
If you would prefer to use a freshly laundered carrier please request this before you borrow.
I cannot guarantee that there are no animal hairs on hire carriers, but I do ask that all carriers are kept away from pets to minimise this possibility.
If you are very allergic to animal hairs, please request that the carrier be laundered before you borrow it to help avoid any potential reaction.
7) Food and posset marks are expected when carrying children, but please keep the sling away from anything that may stain more permanently (oil, paint, pens, etc.), or anything that might damage it (scissors, velcro, keys in your bag, fire, etc.).
The cost of damage beyond normal wear and tear will be invoiced to you.
8) All slings, carriers, instructions and accessories remain the property of Pouchlings - Original Baby Slings and carriers at all times. All loans are subject to availability and our discretion.
FINES:
1) If you return your carrier late I will charge £2 per day past the agreed returns due date until the date that you contact me and agree a resolution.
2) Charges for items damaged beyond normal wear and tear will be judged on a case by case basis. However, if the carrier is returned in such a condition that it is no longer useable as a hire sling or as a SALE item, then the full deposit will be retained to cover its replacement.
3) If I do not hear from you within 14 days from the end of your loan, I will consider the carrier lost and will retain the full deposit amount. I will also invoice for any late fees to date.
If I do not receive full payment for the lost carrier, accessories, hire fees and/or fines, legal action will follow.
SAFE USAGE
ALL CARRIERS ARE EXTREMELY SAFE WHEN USED PROPERLY, HOWEVER MISUSE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO YOURSELF OR YOUR CHILD. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT YOU ARE USING THE CARRIER CORRECTLY AND THAT YOUR BABY OR CHILD IS SAFE AT ALL TIMES WHEN USING THE CARRIER.
Pouchlings cannot be held responsible for any accident and resultant injuries that occur whilst the carrier is in your care.

A record will be completed for each carrier you borrow with your full name and contact details, loan charges and date that the carrier is due back.
Your personal details will be kept in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, and will only be used to contact you in relation to your loan.
