At Pouchlings we have over 20 years' experience of making Ring Slings safely and beautifully.
Our Ring Sling conversions are fully customisable with a choice of shoulder styles, tail styles and optional extras such as pockets and a drawstring bag.
There is no need to go on a waiting list for a Wrap conversion Ring Sling and most WCRS's will be finished and posted back to you within 10 days.

shoulder cap Options and Pricing

"Classic" Gathered Shoulder and "Floating" Gathered shoulder:
- £18 with a choice of ring colour, rings provided by us. - £15 with rings provided by the customer. - An easy shoulder style to wear and makes for a perfect “beginner’s sling”. -The fabric opens up wide to cup the whole shoulder and top of the arm. The wearer can spread or gather up the fabric as they prefer. - The line of stitches sits at approximately 12cm from the rings in a "Classic" Gathered shoulder and at approximately 30cm in a "Floating" Gathered shoulder giving an extra layer of cushiness. - Especially good for larger frames or rounded shoulders as it will prevent the fabric popping up to the wearer’s neck. - Not recommended for petite frames or narrow shoulders as the wide style may swamp a smaller wearer and restrict movement of the arm. |

"AP" Gathered shoulder - £20 with a choice of ring colour, rings provided by us. - £17 with rings provided by the customer. This is essentially still a Gathered shoulder cap but with an extra "decorative" feature. The fabric is folded into wide pleats and stitched down at the point that it passes through the rings for a neater finish. Other than that, it functions in the same way as a Gathered shoulder. - Also available as a Floating shoulder. |

Padded Hot Dog shoulder:
- £20 with a choice of ring colour, rings provided by us. - £17 with rings provided by the customer. - A padded 5” wide box pleat. The padding sits on the ball of the shoulder and the flaps are spread out to cup the shoulder and fix it in place. (A good choice if you don’t like the fabric touching your neck). - The padding makes carrying heavier babies, (8m+), much more comfortable. - The narrower style works best on square shoulders, narrow shoulders and/or petite frames. - Not especially recommended for sloping or rounded shoulders as it can slip up towards the neck. |

Classic Box Pleat
- £18 with a choice of ring colour, rings provided by us. - £15 with rings provided by the customer. - An un-padded shoulder cap with 4 pleats. The middle pleats are fixed so the fabric cannot spread too far down the shoulder but the outer pleats can be spread to cup the tip of the shoulder and stop the sling from travelling up to the neck. - This is a narrower style than a Gathered shoulder but it spreads more than a padded Box Pleat. - Can be worn on all shoulder shapes and sizes. |

"Hybrid" (Gathered and Pleated) Shoulder:
- £18 with a choice of rings provided by us. - £15 with rings provided by customer. - An un-padded shoulder cap which combines a gathered middle section and two pleats on each outer edge. - The gathered section in the middle allows the width to be controlled by gathering the fabric up or spreading it wider across the shoulder. - This is a narrower style than a Gathered shoulder but it spreads more than a padded Box Pleat. - Can be worn on all shoulder shapes and sizes. (Not suitable for thick wraps as the pleated edges can feel heavy) |

"Combination" (Pleated and Gathered) shoulder
- £20 with a choice of rings provided by us. - £17 with rings provided by customer. - An un-padded shoulder cap which combines a pleated middle section and gathered outer edges. - The pleated central part is approximately 5" - 7" wide with the gathered sides taking up the remainder of the width. This style reduces the amount of fabric that can be spread and is especially good for small, or narrow shoulders that can be swamped by a Gathered shoulder cap. - Can be worn on all shoulder shapes and sizes. |

Narrow Pleated shoulder:
- £22 with a choice of ring colour, rings provided by us. - £19 with rings provided by the customer. - Another easy shoulder style to wear. - The first row of embroidery/stitching sets the shoulder width at approximately 6" - 8", so the fabric cannot travel too far down the arm. The pleats then open up wide to spread the fabric nicely over the wearer’s back. - Can be worn on all shoulder shapes but is particularly good for narrow and/or sloping shoulders. - As with all Ring Slings, it is important to wear the fabric against the ball of the shoulder, not against the neck. - Not suitable for very thick wraps. |
Ring Sling Fabric Requirements and Design Details:
- I measure Ring Sling length along the short hem and the measurement does not include the rings, which add approximately 10cm of length back in.
I will need an extra 15cm for a Classic shoulder and and extra 35cm for a Floating shoulder.
I will return any unused wrap fabric.
If the wrap has a picture on it, then I will make sure that this is the right way up on the pouch according to which shoulder you wear it on.

- I will try to give you the colour of Rings that you request but where this is not possible, I will offer you an alternative colour.
- Velcro-closing pockets are charged at an extra £6.
- Tails can be either straight-cut or tapered.
A pocket on a straight cut tail will be rectangular. A pocket on a tapered tail will follow the edge of the taper at the bottom so will be an irregular shape.
- Simple drawstring bags are charged at an extra £8
(Optional extras, such as pocket, drawstring bags and shorties will depend on the length of the wrap provided).
- If you send a long wrap and want the remaining piece turned into a shortie, this will be an extra £5

The Ring Sling and any remaining wrap will be posted as soon as I have received payment.
As soon as I have received your wrap, I will notify you by email so that you know it has arrived safely.
